interview

i asked to Miku that "if you could engineer your child, would you do so? why?"

miku answered "NO".
because parents must not interrupt child's life, that is parents must not change their child's ability. it is true that engineering genes can protect child from genetically herited diseases, but disease is also a part of child's life.

my oppinion is almost the same as Miku.

Hi, Hitomi! This is my comment to you;)

I have an opposite opinion about genetic engineering that can save children from deseases, however, I can understand what Miku and you mean. Desease itself would be the characteristics of the child!!

I think this kind of issue that we have the opposite opinion toward the same thing is very difficult to deal with, but we will have to...

Hi, Hitomi.
It is difficult to comment on your interview review, because it was me who was interviewed from you!

As I said, I am against genetical engineering. In addition to what I said, I feel very weird with controlling my children. I have heard raising children means "look after" not create children as human beings. We need to believe in children who have power to grow by themselves.

We do not have any experiences to raise children or give birth to children, so it is difficult topic to discuss, but we definately need to discuss about it.

Miku,
